VERTIGO VENUS ANNOUNCES RELEASE OF NEW CD:
“SUCCESS OR SUICIDE”
(ALBUQUERQUE, NEW MEXICO) VERTIGO VENUS, the up-and-coming Synthpunk act who’s shared the stage with The Birthday Massacre and Mindless Self Indulgence (among many others), has announced the release of their new CD/EP, “SOS: Success or Suicide”. The CD follows hot on the heels of “Run for your lives“, the band’s popular 2007 release on Albuquerque’s own DSBP records.
Dubbed “Best band retired from winning Best of Burque” in the 2010 Alibi Best of Burque contest, the band has chosen to come out of early retirement to rock faces off with this new release.
The EP includes the fun and powerful opener, “Spy Vs. Spy”, the heavy-beat “Everybody Down”, and the band’s unique take on Cyndi Lauper’s “She-Bop”, as well as the sing-along-like-you-mean-it “Punkrock Cheerleader” and other tracks sure to entertain listeners of all types. Producer Joey Belville (of The Echoing Green) has brought the band to new levels with this recording, drawing a sound out of the group never heard before, and unmatched by any act found in popular music.
“Spy Vs. Spy” recently won “Best Rock-Punk” production in the 2010 New Mexico Music Awards. Vertigo Venus is the hardest working band in the New Mexico music scene and aims to put on the best live performances possible with every show.

The band will host a CD release July 9th at the Launchpad (613 Central SE, Albuquerque, NM).
