VERTIGO VENUS ANNOUNCES “SPEND THE NIGHT WITH VENUS” CONCERT, FEATURING VENUS DE MARS
(ALBUQUERQUE, NEW MEXICO) VERTIGO VENUS, the up-and-coming Synthpunk act who’s shared the state with Birthday Massacre and Mindless Self Indulgence (among many others), is pleased to announce a one-night-only concert featuring three great bands with something in common; their names!
The show, dubbed “Spend the night with Venus”, will take place at Burt’s Tiki Lounge (313 Gold Ave. SE, Albuquerque, NM) on January 23rd, 2010. The show will feature live music by Vertigo Venus, Venus Bogardus, and Venus De Mars.
Venus De Mars is a nationally known Transgender Performance Artist and founder of the band, All the Pretty Horses , whose Goth/Glam Rock sound has made its way around the world many times over. The band is known for amazing live shows, and energy not soon to be found on most stages.
This energy will be equally well matched by that of Vertigo Venus, whose signature Synthpunk sound is quickly becoming well known around New Mexico, and the United States.
Rounding out the night will be Venus Bogardus, hailing from Santa Fe, NM, with a post-punk sound, which has lead to their signing to five03 Records and a string of popular releases. The show will also feature music by DJ Venus’ Vinyl Space Lounge.
The night guarantees to be a great way to start 2010. Admission is free, and the show is restricted to ages 21 and up. Doors will open at 9pm.
